In 1938, the Widenta factory was founded by Ferenc Chorin, who with his family generated 10% of the Hungarian GDP at that time. After the 1949 communist takeover of Hungary, Widenta became a Comecon strategic company and changed its name. Its production continued. The factory was privatized by a German businessman after the collapse of the communist regime; eventually, it became part of the MPF Industry Group, which has fully modernized its industrial equipment. After some major investments, Widenta is currently the largest grinding tool and cutting wheel factory in East-Central Europe and the third largest in Europe. The factory fulfills unique industrial orders under the world-renowned brand name Widenta.

The early 1980s founding of Clarflex was the result of the collaboration between Mrs. Nogula and a Canadian investor. The company later split its production and distribution activities. Today, the MPF Group manufactures the Clarflex products. The first flexible abrasive products manufacturer of Hungary has undergone serious development since joining the MPF Group. Currently, it has a more extensive product portfolio and uses new technology. Now that it has become the sister company of MP Widenta, it has better market mobility.

The company’s predecessor was the Fegyver- és Gépgyár Rt. (Weapon and Machinery Manufacturing LTD) founded in 1891. Since becoming part of the MPF Industry Group in 2010, the group has built it up as a highly profitable corporation. The largest heating device manufacturer in East-Central Europe is a market leader in several product categories, and customers encounter the FÉG name from Europe to North America. FÉG’s role in the MPF Group is to manufacture heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) products and white goods (major household appliances). The company has stopped its operations connected to the defense industry.

Established in 1967, Borovi is the largest Hungarian timber furniture manufacturer. The factory that exported its products to significant markets (Germany, Switzerland, and France) was privatized in 1993 by six entities. In 2005, Borovi became part of the MPF Industry Group. The story of the company, whose original name was Kemikál, started in 1872. The strategic corporation of the socialist times was first privatized by Henkel.
